The Generations

In 1 lecture by my business lecturer, also one of my favorite lecturer, I am attracted to the topic about how people are raised and taught to be different type of individuals according to their generation group.
Basically, we have....
The Silent Generation who are as their category name, quiet and rather concentrate too much on work.
The Baby Boomer who has the chance to earn the most money among all the generations as they start earning when all the money are invested to develop the countries by their government.
Generation X, also the key-latcher, the first generation who had to come home to an empty home, prepare their own food and grown up to be really careful in whatever they do or choose to do.
Generation Y, the lucky ones raised by the rich baby boomers, adventurous, decisive and start small business at an early age, like to rush into things as to them, there is nothing much to lose.
Generation Z, those raise by the careful X group of parents, taking part in different types of classes, most probably spent most of their childhood time indoor.

Every group seems to have their own good and bad and so far as I can see, the world around me, we are living well together.
Until... I got this comment from a meeting when 2 individuals are commenting on the fresh grads, who are naturally, generation Y (me included), are not as aggressive as them(generation X) and do not have much initiative in work while being fast in changing their jobs.
In fact, YES, most of my friends change their job until they find something suitable for themselves, as we care a lot about what we do, we want career but not jobs.
Changing of job is actually a major happening in ones life and it needs lots of hard work and brain juice in selecting what we want and what we need.
Also, another reason for job hopping is actually because, we want to learn more and improve ourselves more and more. Not solely because we are really that into money.
Therefore, I strongly disagree them saying that we are not as aggressive as them in our career or, we do not have much initiative.
Maybe they should try to understand us more and also, understand the different treatment that we get vs what they got when they themselves are fresh grad, employed by the rich baby boomers (our parents) who are willing to pay more. Not talking about the amount of money, but the value of money.

Actually, the meeting took place weeks ago, but I got inspired by my friend who were stating that most of the post offered by the bosses (mostly generation X) are underpaying the fresh grads. And the most irritating thing is that, they prefer experienced individuals rather than fresh grads.
Does that mean, they want to employ only people from their own generation as we, generation Y clearly will not have much working experiences as we are FRESH from uni...

Gosh~ that is so so so unfair. No wonder they can't find committed employees and no wonder most fresh grads choose to work for their family.

Not trying to say bad about other generation, but I think we need to respect each other more. If we do not complain about the money that we are getting, please be more understanding that not every generation or groups of people work the same way as the others. PEACE.
